Google released a messaging app. We presume it is in support of hangouts to identify whether your friends and relatives are really available to hangout or they casually put their status available and ignore it. When you ping them based on their availability status and no response from them would make you wonder whats wrong. This app Who's Down has a feature to adjust status if you manually slide the bar and make's you wait to see if some else as well are ready to get down for hangout with you.  At first this app gives an impression of changing the hangout status. But this app has an inbuilt functionality for chat, which makes it's utility more meaningful.

What would be Google's motive behind this app. Are they trying to identify users behaviour with instant messengers, when some one pings them for starting a chat or to form a group or hangout. We expect Google might have given a predefined group selection based on categories and custom group creation based on categories. And when you say you are down for something it does really mean your realtime availability to hangout.

Interaction in this way is exciting. The concept might get recognition from students who meet up at regular intervals on a day in college. They can casually create a group and check Who's Down for a gathering. Also Google, rather than keeping this as a separate app, it should have added to hangout as a feature which would boost up the utilisation of hangout app.

Extremely well looking interface Optimised for lollipop and the next version. The below shown images help you in registering for the Google Who's Down invitation. The School name is an optional entry. If you belong to US you might find your school name in that list. Then choose it and complete the registration.
